Microsoft Word - California Transparency In Supply Chains Act 20

August 27, 2012 The California Transparency in Supply Chain Act of 2010 requires manufacturers/suppliers doing business in California to disclose their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from their supply chains. Hickman’s Family Farms, Inc. (Hickman’s) recognizes that these practices can be found across the globe despite all efforts by governments, industries and humanitarian organizations to abolish them.Hickman’s supports the fight against these practices.

As a family-owned, privately held agricultural corporation, Hickman’s provides/supplies shell eggs and egg products to both retail and food-service businesses. All of our production takes place within the United States and under the care, concern and control of our corporate office located in Buckeye, Arizona. Thus, we can verify and certify that we do not use human trafficking or slavery in any of our processes.

As a self-contained, privately-held agricultural corporation, we maintain full-accountability and auditing of all practices. During orientation/training we address and confirm Hickman’s policy against any form of human-trafficking and/or slavery in any of our production processes.
