Factoid:

If we weren't local...

If Hickman's shipped in all our eggs from the Midwest we would consume 1,165,701 gallons of diesel fuel per year. By supplying eggs locally, we prevent the equivalent of 12,822 tons of carbon from being released into the atmosphere , which is the equivalent of removing 400 cars off the road that are driven 15,000 miles annually.

Welcome to
Hickman's Family Farms...

egg icon

Hickman's Family Farms has provided fresh eggs since 1944.

From of a flock of less than 500 in Grandma Hickman's back yard to our current flock of laying hens in environmentally friendly, automated houses - we've gotten bigger and better over the years.

Regardless of change and progress, we remain committed to the Hickman basic business formula: good service and excellent quality at a fair price.   continued...

A Facelift Just in Time for AZ’s Centennial…

Arizona Capitol Mall Beautification Project

It wasn’t that long ago that Wesley Bolin Plaza in Phoenix was in dire need of some major TLC. “It was morale busting,” says Clint Hickman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Hickman’s Family Farms. With the state’s Centennial just around the corner (February 14 in case you haven’t yet marked your calendar), Hickman wanted to do something — after all, Wesley Bolin Plaza sits right in front of the Arizona Capitol building… that, and it’s really the centerpiece of the downtown area, so how could it not be in tip-top shape for AZs big 100? Alas, budget cuts meant little could be done to revitalize the area.

Community helping revamp area near Capitol for Centennial event

Arizona Capitol Mall Beautification Project

When Arizona Sen. Steve Pierce, R-Prescott, toured Hickman’s Family Farms in Buckeye several months ago, he struck up a conversation with Clint Hickman about the need for landscaping improvements at Wesley Bolin Plaza — particularly in light of the fact that the Arizona Centennial celebration is to be held there Feb. 14.

Hickman, vice president of sales and marketing at the family business, quickly offered to help.

The two later met at Pierce’s office and thought of everything that needed to be done to spruce up the plaza near the Arizona Capitol, then reached out to other groups that could ...

First Annual Governor's Easter Egg Roll

First Annual Governor's Easter Egg Roll
photo: Carl Schultz

April 23 and 24, 2011 the Wigwam hosted the 1st Annual Easter Egg Roll, with special guest Governor Jan Brewer. Modeled after the event in Washington, the event also included many activities for old and young alike, and a special judging of decorated eggs by Governor Brewer. Participants in the festivities were enthusiastic about the celebration of all things springtime, and the word heard most frequently was "awesome." Hickman's Family Farms was pleased to have been a part of what will surely become an Arizona family tradition.
