On February 25th and 26th, Desert Marigold Charter School in Phoenix
hosted its Second Annual Medieval Games Event. Sixth grade students
from four Arizona Waldorf school gathered together. This event is a
meaningful way to enliven their studies of the Middle Ages. These
young knights grouped into shires, participated in team building
and cooperative games, practiced archery, embarked on a quest to
explore the seven virtues, enjoyed a feast, and were individually
acknowledged in a knighting ceremony. The days were both physically
and intellectually challenging. To fortify the 80-100 students,
faculty, and volunteers that gathered at each meal, DMS offered
nutritious and hearty meals. The generous donation from Hickman’s
Family Farms enabled us to provide both substantial breakfasts and fresh baked
goods at every meal.
Thank you Hickman’s Family Farms for your continued generosity and support!
Sincerely,
